anyone downloaded the new FireFox3 ?

Today's the day, FireFox3 has officially been launched,
I'm busy downloading ready to replace v2 thats used everyday - never touch IE anymore,

Has anyone tried the new V3 (not the beta versions, but the real thing) ?

I forgot to mention, anyone downloading, can expect a somewhat slower than normal service from Mozilla, there's a rumour that its trying to beat 1.6m downloads in a single 24hr period (starting 19:00 gmt)

I'll probably leave it a while - so i can be sure my extensions have been built for 3.

I use ShowIP all the time - i'd be lost without it

there are a fair number of FF extensions that I'd be lost without so I'll wait a while before installing too

I have to set up a brand new machine today, and "duplicate" the extensions I use.
It will be interesting to see how many extensions I can transfer without any pain.

I'll report back before long.

I downloaded it last week as beta. All plain sailing so far. And showIP works fine.

If you go to the Firebug website you can download the current beta version which, works with FF3 and also seems pretty stable.

There seems to be a problem with the default Reflective theme. Brilliant. I'll get onto that this morning.

i do hope that its not as memory greedy as ff2.

i might end up switching to opera if they cant handle their megabytes.

atm, on a long session, my ff2 (and 3 beta) uses up more ram than a local farmer i know.

been on FF3 beta for a few months on OSX.

Seems nice, worth waiting for extensions - run them side by side for now.
