Take a look at her reasons for designing the site as it is http://www.managementtoday.co.uk/spo...trepreneurship
... it was done with a purpose after ‘extensive research into the psychological surfing habits of over 50,000 visitors to her website’

WoW!!!
I am Ling, hihi!
My God, I am so surprised that you are discussing my site on here, I thought the Actinic thing was a pre-formed ecommerce website. Mine is just about the complete opposite of that.
I agree my website is not standard issue boring, but really, this year I will sell £40m of new cars from it. This will result in invoiced revenue approaching £500k. From MY website! I have to pinch myself.
I went on the Dragon’s Den purely for the PR benefit, I would never have taken any measly offer like they suggested to me.
What interests me is that no one else in the UK Motor Industry has the slightest clue about how to interact with humans emotionally on a cerebral level, all they all want are websites which look good and “professional” on a gigabit LAN, when viewed by directors in a 30 minute meeting in their boadroom. “That will do” you can hear them say, “now simply spend £50k on Google Adwords to get 50,000 traffic” - a £1 a shot, because that’s how much it costs.
Where as I want as much exposure as possible, like this blog, to get my Google rankings up and get 50,000 uniques per month without any cost. If you think about it like this, every website visitor makes me 60-70p each. Is that too simple?
The tricky thing is, is to compete against massive companies and brand names, supported by manufacturers - with a big ticket purchase like a car from a kooky website, this should not be possible in theory. Customers should transact from “official” sites, why on earth trust a mad Chinese bird for a car, for God’s sake? On the other hand, look how Top Gear transorms motoring journalism, that programme is quite mad at times, which manufacturer would want to swim the English Channel in their cars?
Can anyone suggest how else I should approach this, except from the left-field? Interested to hear views, pls.
Oh, and have you read Viz? http://www.lingscars.com/images/imag...llythefish.png hahahahaha Oooops.I am Ling!

Excellent marketing Lingy, you are to be commended.
Your site however, is a good example of the million dollar homepage syndrome.
The madness of your sites appearance means that it gets negative media attention, generating a squillion sales in the process.
As I said before, you have done a good job with the phone site too. I hope that takes off as well.
To save the eyes of the staff here, I'll be blocking both your sites from our network.
