Is it possible to create a DSN-less connection with Actinic as oppossed to an ODBC one? Also is it possible to connect to a remote database which is held on a different virtual server? the Reason for doing this is to avoid having several databases scattered around. I am using Access 2000 and act business.

You need an ODBC connection to connect to Actinic, internally it uses DAO and ODBC. However ODBC can connect to databases that are not on your local server so you should be able to set one up that connects to a database on an external machine.
Actinic will only work on one machine at a time (although you can run it on several so long as only one is in use at any one time or you have separated out order processing and catalog maintenance - and you might need several licenses to do this).
If you can access your virtual machine and set up an ODBC connection to it then Actinic should work so long as you have installed it at the location you are working from (before changing the ODBC connections.)
Actinic's current upgrade system modified tables using SQL rather than overwriting the current database so you could add tables to the Actinic database to centralise your systems.
