Tracey - is that a recommendation? Which version do you use?

Phillip - efax.com looks good to me as the received attahments can be in PDF format - have you had any problems?

Did you break the last one or did it just go rusty through lack of use?

Next you'll be asking for a teletex machine or a golf ball typwriter.

              hahahah...you guys crack me up!

              Mark, yes, definitely a recommendation.
I only use the 'cheap' package, £10 a year plus VAT, and I have a 0870 number (think they are 0871s now) but I've had no problems with it.

I used to use a different company who use to do fax to email for free (which used to send the fax as a pdf) but they stopped offering the service.
Am quite happy with the current one though. I've just renewed, as it happens.

Not sure about the 3rd party fax services being mentioned, but I would not recommend using Windows Fax Console.

I foolishly thought that it was time to bin the old fax machine (ancient technology and all that), but still required the ability to receive faxes like Darren.

I switched over to Windows Fax Console to receive them on the PC, but find that its very hit and miss.
It dosen't seem to like large faxes (2-3 pages) - which on my PC at any rate, just appear as a dot!

Just my two penneth worth - back to the silliness with you ...

We have been using efax for nearly 10years never had any problem. If you want to send through efax, you need to subscribe. receiving it free. They make money by 0870 number. Fax will be forword it to your email, then open it using one of their free software. However it is not always quick, sometime it take few hours to see the fax, it never botherd us.

                    Thanks

I'll stick with a fax machine, have tried other services and pc based solutions and they are not the same.

If this is the attitude we get that I, for one, am not going to help you any more
