... Southampton is a far better solution to appeal to the Actinic masses and get more bums on seats.

I cut and pasted the post code from CB's anouncement into Google maps and it gave me somewhere in Germany! A case of S0 rather than SO. In reality it is just south of the A303 near Andover so 40 minutes for me, so coughed up my £10, may be interesting.

... its at The Norton Park hotel, near Winchester.

Although Winchester is on the main line from Waterloo, this hotel is a fair (10-12 mile) taxi ride away and not a cheap place to eat or stay. (However if driving there, it is near the end of the M3, bottom of the A34, so easy to get to). It's about 45-50 minutes from the Towers.

Twenty minutes from me (in So'ton - though I don't know how So'ton came into this thread) - I'd gladly pay a tenner to come and listen, but don't want to make a presentation as I'm V7 and happily earning from it. Pity there's only 36 places, I won't apply as there may be more deserving members.

(Actinic you can contact me if you need to make up numbers and I'll be there).

FWIW, £10 x 36 won't cover Actinic's cost for this event. And realise this is just a minor part of their international conference (sorry, meant beano) - oh, to have an expense account!

On the other hand, folks, I'd have no interest at all if it was north of Watford so you can't please all of the people....
