Techno-Web take over by Nuco Technologies

Hi all,

Having some problems and could do with some advice.

Our last credit card statement statement showed we had been mistakenly charged for a 2nd bulk hosting account by Techno-Web Ltd, 2 weeks before they were taken over by Nuco Technologies.
We've asked Nuco Technologies if they can deal with this matter but they claim they have only taken over the assets of Techno-Web and not its liabilities, so can't give a refund !

Is there anything we can do?

Speak to your credit card company is my advice - they should be able to claw it back

I think you need to get things in writing to have any chance of recovering the money you paid. If Nuco are only dealing with the assets then it sounds as if Techno-Web may have gone under, in which case you will need to contact either Techno-Web (who even if in administration should still be at the same company registered address).

Personally it sounds like it may not be worth the effort to recover it - I would tell Nuco though that you will reconsider your hosting if they don't at least offer something as goodwill.

If you email support@techno-web.co.uk you'll get an answer from 4sure's old support team - may be the easier/quicker route. They are very helpful now and as in the past.

My hosting is now with Pinbrook.net who supply an Actinic Network Settings file for easy import and upload.

Thanks for advice given.
We have now received a very helpful call from Techno-Web who have apologised for the technical error that caused this and explained that we will need to get a refund through the credit card company as Techno-Web has ceased trading.
