A useful tool when setting up client emails is:

    nPop: http://www.nakka.com/soft/npop/index_eng.html

a tiny small free pop3 client, that is deceptively useful.

Never leave home without it, its entirely portable.

It can run off your memory stick, no installation. I've used it in the past. I keep a bundle of apps on my stick just in case and this is one of them. It can accept multiple accounts - which is then easier than webmail.

        well, she has a point.

i meant this as a testing tool, when setting up email accounts, when you dont want to clutter your own email client with their data, during the setup of any services, that require you to respond to emails for confirmation.

i'd never really use this to keep my mail in, but its useful to check that a mailbox is working.

sometimes, using web mail to debug a problem with a pop3 system, is impossible, but with this little widget, you can easily check pop connectivity, and when youre done with it, just delete the files it makes in its local folder and the settings are gone, ready for the next bout of testing.

I had a friend at an isp use it to check that clients pop boxes worked.
