Well thats me changed to 15%

Working on the basis that we don't download any orders untill Monday we have now changed our vat to 15% and left a message on each site.


Hopefully this will keep the orders comming in over the weekend

Last night i did a couple. If product won't be in their hands before the vat change somes into effect, you can go early with it.

I've always understood that VAT applied from the date of the invoice, or the date in which you are position to issue an invoice (unless you're using cash accounting).

Well that's right for normal processes, but this is a change Alan and certain things are being allowed to happen without penalty during the changeover.

We are working on the time we take the money, as we technically do cash accounting, which i add new VAT inspectors dont have a clue about and try and tell you that you cant do that

I've done mine too, however can any of you offer advice:

Orders placed/received/downloaded BEFORE the change still contain the VAT at 17.5%, even though they won't be shipped until next week (back-orders, waiting for stock, etc.).

I agree with Alan, they should therefore be invoiced at 15%. I can't see a way to edit the tax without going into the .acd file and changing it manually?
