Deleted a file from server... Can I get it back?

I've dropped the proverbiale ball here and deleted a file I shouldn't have from a server.

Is there anyway of accessing it and reinstate it through the ftp cpanel?

Your host might be able to retrieve it from their backup. I'd contact them first to see if they can get you a single file rather than the whole server image.

There's also a possibility that it may have been archived by the WayBack Machine - www.archive.org

Perhaps one of the search engines will have it cached?

What's the file Rich and how did it get there in the first place?

Was hoping the site wouldn't disallow all bots. Remember not all robots follow the robots.txt laws, try some dodgy underground search engine. Have you tried your temp files on your computer in case your FTP software caches data?

It's a global.php file that should reside in the includes folder. I know a major f**k up. It wasn't intentional, I was exploring the site to get my head around how it was set up...

It's not my usual area of expertise, but one have my clients has gone nuts buying "websites" and asked me to take a look at them. I bet he doesn't now...

Any idea what the script program is for? Or is it a php-based CMS?

It's some mass produce affiliate program scheme. I have no idea why they've opted for it, well actually I do. They're hoping to make a quick buck, from littlle effort. I have my doubts.

Could you not contact Market Health (http://www.markethealth.com/) and see if they can supply the file? Can't say it's one of the many scripts I've touched for fear of looking like a spamming git Unfortunately there's so many affiliate schemes around it's nearly impossible to guess which one has got the right global.php file for you.
