    Mince pies-a survey.

    Hi all.
How many of us are eating mince pies already?
How many can't stand mince pies?
    Which are the best?

    Merry Xmas.

I like mince pies. For me they need to be short pastry and deep filled and moist.
    Woops I dribbled!

Post note - I also like a good mature Xmas cake with lots of brandy - eaten with a good strong piece of cheddar cheese.

          WHS^

We used to run a family bakery business all over the East Midlands. Mince Pies start at the end of November and I am still eating them at the end of January.

          They're lovely!

LOL - I don't like anything with mixed or dried fruit in it - when I got married had the traditional wedding cake plus a LARGE chocolate cake for me!

I made and ate my first mince pies on Monday washed down with some mulled wine whilst decorating our tree.

It's our first Christmas in our first house so where going balls out for festive fun LOL

Cake and Pudding are being topped up with Brandy an a regular, maybe even obsessive, basis.
