How to kill the Internet in one go

Saturday - Google seems to be adding the following warning to every website link in its SERPs and shopping links (including its own sites.....):

"visiting this web site may harm your computer"

And is effectively stopping visitors going straight to every website by refusing to provide a direct link even if the SERP link is clicked.

Yep - just seen this myelf when trying to find the nearest pizza express to where we need to be in Sth Ken this pm. Ridiculous.

I reckon a few people might take G to the cleaners over this one. Look at the attached for what it's done to my listings.

I can't seem to get on the main forums to see what the cause is.

I guess that's 10 million+ website owners trying to find out what's going on.

I wonder how long it will take them to fix it?

I am finding the same problem.
There will be a lot of sites with reduced visitor numbers while this problem exists as many inexperienced users have never used any other search engines than google.

Edit: Perhaps not then as it is now wokring

The earliest record of the problem appears to be around 2:34pm with the first reports of it being fixed around 3:15pm

Anyone searching for a site using Google was blocked with the warning: “This site may harm your computer.” The problem started at 3.30pm.

They manually type in bad website URLs? Sounds like a cover up to me.

The problem started at 3.30pm

They don't state what time zone they are referring too, I assume they have reported a time that was originally referring to CET and not GMT.
