Just been informed Royal Mail can't collect from us, despite the sorting office being 5 minutes away from us - with all perfectly clear roads (we sit just off the 'A' road, as do they) - surely they're not saying our car park is too treacherous - I only skidded once this morning!

Well I set up from Devon at 6.25am headed for the Actinic office. Roads clear, no snow, trains running on time. Got on the train no problem.

At Salisbury I was chucked off and told to go back to Exeter. Just got back. Five and a half hours travelling andf I'm back where I started.

God help anyone who has an accident or heart attack today. The hospitals round here are working on sleleton staff and all clinics etc are cancelled. So the smashed thumb waits another 24 hrs to be dealt with

Ive just gotten back from a 3 hour cross country ski where conditions varied between white out blizzard and brilliant sunshine so lets hope it stays the rest of the week
