GA: Benchmarking

I'm just looking at the stats for a site and although it's reporting better average results, for page views and visits, compared to sites of similar size there is a massive spike on Jan 27th for the benchmark results, Grey graph.

Anybody seeing the same thing and have any theories as to what was so special about that particular day?

Possible, but I would expect to see a similar spike every month, if not as prominent.

It seems there was a similar one in November though... hmmm

I can also see this spike but none of my sites replicate it. Could it just be a Google bug?
