    Redundant Team available

Just received this email, dont know if any use to anyone on the forum

    Reads

    Hi

A Software House based nr Norfolk are about to make 26 good IT professionals redundant. They have contacted Evolution to help their employees find another position as we have recruited for them in the past.

They had two development teams which they have had to let go: The Microsoft team - C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL Server etc and the Open Systems team: Java, J2EE, C++ etc.

Unfortunately they also had to let their Project Manager and Technical Support team go as well who had a mixture of experience in Windows 2003/XP/MS Exchange and Unix.

I would much appreciate it if you could let me know if you have any suitable opportunities for them, either now or in the future.

I look forward to your feedback.

Don't get me started on IT recruitment agencies. I just wonder why they chose to email you.

I sell to a recruitment company and they are forever emailing back details of bods just out of Cambridge with a Master Degree in Ancient Greek.

I think it's spam Chris, I'm pretty sure that these guys have emailed me twice now but the redundant team was in Devon or Cornwall in my email.

Fair point, as them up North of us in Norfolk do seem a bit slow to be in IT, more likely to be doing unmentionables with animals than getting into computers

          Edit (joking))

Definitely spam, I had it a couple of weeks ago.

Spam. I've had it. And they are the worst. I've only ever once delt with an IT recruitment firm that shouldn't have been better off selling second hand cars.

Kev, have you fixed the white lines yet? (Private joke - TV aerials in Shakespeare country?).

I couldn't work out why Big G W/Master Tools linked you to me...

                        Then it dawned.

Ha - that took me a bit of time to work out - but then I realised too. Ha! And no, I never did sort the lines out, I've not had time - I've been photographing a very posh wedding that lasted two days yesterday and today, and I'm still doing some product shots for one of the forum members. I really should open Actinic up again soon - I have a back log of work there too! Have a good evening/night, Kev
