Is anyone considering setting up .tel names for their compnay details

    i have this morning http://canda.tel

i can see this becoming a neat little feature for finding business details

When i first saw this, i thought that's not a bad idea, i quite like that. Thinking about it though, if a person can find your contact details on there but cannot find your actual website, surely the website needs improving? There are few websites that do not return themselves when searched for by name. Or did i miss the point?

Or is this for people who do not have websites? Cos if so, how can there be a benefit to having a website for contact details only, but not having one for your whole business?

Confuzzled and i still like the idea for some reason lol.

There seems to be a steady stream of novelty domains in an attempt to make money.
      .eu never really caught on
      .me isn't that commonly used
.tv ? don't think I've ever seen one

i guess it depends on what the guys who dreamed it up decide to do.

I see it as a global telephone directory as to how SE will see these pages with minimal content is one thing.

the page can not be restyled, they are all the same its just the content you add to it.

in laymans terms this is a hybrid dns
