Has anybody had any dealings with "www.eazybuyonline.com" ?

Our Parcelforce driver ordered goods from them with paypal, the money has left his account but the status is pending. It's been over seven days since payment and he hasn't heard from the company. He's tried contacting them through their online form several times but he's yet to receive a reply. There is no direct email or telephone number supplied and the domain seems to be registered in the US by MochaHost.

Even if 7 days is a bit soon to be worried, a lack of replies and contact info always sends my alarm bells ringing.

He should take a look in Paypal and start a dispute against non delivery of goods or however they term it. If the supplier hasn't replied within 7 days then the chances are they never will.

I hope he get's his money back from Paypal but the moral of the story is - never buy from a site that doesn't advertise it's address and telephone number.

if the status is still 'pending' on his payment, is HE able to cancel it himself, through paypal?

Just looking at their site shouts SCAM, but nevertheless...

A Paypal dispute needs to be opened immediately. If paid by CC I'd take the case straight to the CC provider, too. TBH I am having difficulty believing this is a legitimate company, not to mention their product range.

        ---

Just to let you know, their 'OEM' software prices are approx 70% less than the most competitive prices online. I'll bet this goes through the Paypal checkout as an 'E-Delivery' product too. No going back from that, 100% scammed if this is the case.

PS. Is your Parcelforce driver sure they followed the Checkout instructions?

"In order to complete the purchase please make sure you click on "Return to Merchant" button once you have successfully completed the transaction on the PayPal page."

Even still, I'm pessimistic about this one

I'm waiting for the driver to turn up today, I'll ask him for additional information when I see him. Thanks for your input, but I too feel like this is a scam site.

and perhaps a mirror site at greatdealpoint dot com

Maybe a whois on either/or might turn up some contact info?
Interesting that both sites say, on their "privacy notice" pages, that they are called "Real Bargain Shop"

domain name created: 20 Mar 2009
                No contact details
They also only process payments through Paypal, although nowadays this is not uncommon.

They are also selling OEM software which I thought couldn't be sold separately, although might be wrong.

Hi Grant, can you send to nick(at)oliverslighting.co.uk

I have all the domain reg info here, It's a company called MochaHost in San Jose CA. I have all the contact printed out to give to the driver when he arrives.

Simple rule of thumb...if a deal looks too good to be true...

Very true. This is illegal unless supplied with a piece of hardware, which more often than not, will be a pc screw. No joke.

I seem to remember ebuyer selling OEM MS Office with a cheap £3 mouse a couple of years back, not sure if they still do.
