warning for those who dont take a backup home

Just been down to the office where we were saved by a single brick end wall from disaster

The 4-5000 sq ft warehouse that adjoines our office went up in flames and was totaly destroyed, the building opposite had its windows melted but saved by fire service who also saved ours

All the way to the site, I was wondering did I take the backups home, luckly I had, but still very scarey, I had even brought a couple of new extinguishers last month when evaluating the risks

    Blimey

Is there any damage to your property at all? Are they allowing you back in or is it unsafe?

Good gracious, what a scary thing. So glad everything's OK.

For the record, I don't take a backup home. But we do have automatic backups to 2 different online storage vaults, so even if the office goes up in flames, our files are safe. Ish.

A very stark reminder to everyone about the importance of backups.
A small additional cost, but worth every £ per Gbyte.

Chris, I hope you were storing the flame retardant clothing at that end of the warehouse?!?
