Disable character input in a form

Hi all,

on https://twitter.com/account/create if you try to write non alphanumeric characters in the username element, it doesn't even appear. I had a quick google, but I can't find anything on this.

Does anyone know how you do that?

Perhaps you're using a different browser and the script controlling the data entry isn't compatible with Firefox?
