    Fraudulent Credit Card Use

I found a strange transaction on my personal credit card bill recently; it was from PayPal with an ebay seller reference. I don’t shop on ebay and I haven’t used my PayPal account for 6 months. I then spent a long time on the phone to PayPal while they tried to work out want this transaction was. Eventually they admitted that the card details had been associated with another PayPal account. They said that their systems had picked this up as fraudulent use, as the card was already associated with my account. The said that a refund has already been issued and that the ‘other’ account had been blocked.

Strangely, neither PayPal nor the c/c company thought it important that I block the card from further use.

Another reason why Paypal Sucks? Seems fraudulent use of credit cards is an every day occurrence with Paypal, their systems are supposed to stop you authorising a credit/debit card which is linked to another account - but, they still expect it to happen like I expect rain later.

Off topic - I noticed eBay now only allow 1 day listings if the auction is backed only by Paypal as the payment method.
