Wow - I didn't even know they still made that product, nor that Corel still existed. Weren't Corel once bought by WordPerfect, who inturn were bought by Lotus, who in turn we bought (and sold) by IBM?
I'm a dedicated Paint Shop Pro user. It does what I want and I've never seen the point in paying more for photoshop and having to learn a whole new way of doing things.
I still use PSP 7 but do have a copy of PSP 11 that I have to use to edit stuff someone else has created in psd format. I still like version 7 the best though. I think they're now on X2 (which means 12 in normal speak).
Corel are an interesting topic. They bought wordperfect (which doesn't seem to have been that smart a move) and since then have been buying other software companies and focusing on the selling side rather than developing. I looked them up and it looks like they took over Intervideo, Ulead and Winzip in the last few years.
I'm also a Paint Shop Pro fan. I guess if you're a professional graphic designer then it might be limiting, but I'm not, and find it more than adequate for day to day image stuff.
