    Spam filters

What do you consider the best spam filter on the market and why?

For outlook I'm very impressed by Cloudmark. I've used it now for about 2 years and couldn't be happier.

Very few false positives and it handles the 200+ spam emails I get daily very effectively.

The bottom line for me is that I can leave it to run by itself and spam is no longer a problem. I just delete everything from the spam folder without even bothering to look at it.

      Hi Mike

We already have Cloudmark and for the ones it does remove it does it well, but many get past it, Some the same ones each day (xxx.XX.XX 72% 0FF on Pfizer !)that have been onward sent from i guess infected computers

We do get one hell of a lot of spam each day as we are quite free with our email address ( which at the same time does give customers confidence)

Chris - you should stop buying all this Pfizer and get off their mailing lists!! All the email links on your sites have been encrypted so should not be coming from there.

I tend to filter on the server as well using the x-rbl-warning using the following lists:

        abuseat
        sbl.spamhaus.org
        spamcop

there are others but the above seem to cover the majority and have kept spam down to a tolerable minimum.

The spam filters built in with our hosting (pinbrook) are very efficient but we also have ESET Smart Security Anti Spam which catches the odd stray one, maybe one a day

I got a bunch of these last night. The emails that is, not the little blue diamond thingys. I was surprised to have to block 5-6 of these emails this morning (and that was after being closed on Sun/Mon).

Most of the time I find very little spam gets through and what does is easily manageable. For me it's probably only 2-3 a day which isn't much of a problem.

The only thing I dislike about Cloudmark is that it runs on the PC. This means if I ever want to check remotely via webmail I have to wade through all the spam sitting on the mail server.

Jonty, I've been looking at the http://www.partyconnection.co.uk/aca...___Nurses.html page and I couldn't help noticing. Does anyone actually use the 'tell a friend' feature?
