    Problem with half removed program

    Having a problem with spam filter so tought I would temporary remove mycloudmark software to see it there was a conflict with AVG

    Deleted Cloudmark using windows installer, it stopped half way through removing cloudbase.

    Now if I try to continue or load / remove anything else in comes up with message

    The windows installer service could not be accessed, this can occur if you are running windows in safe mode or if the windows installer is not correctly installed, contact your support personnel.

    Have tried installing a updated installer "msicuu2.exe from MS but that refuses to run showing same error

    Have tried removing with ccleaner but same error message

    I assume I have to remove all info from reg file but no info on what of how, so any help apreciated

    using XP Pro

    Would a System Restore get you back to a place where you can remove it properly?

      It sounds like it might be damaged (broken) and you'll have to repair windows.

        ooer - bad luck Chris.

        System restore is the only sure thing that comes to mind, apart from perhaps a trawl through the Registry.

        When we renewed our main machine a couple of years ago, we spent two days loading it with everything we needed in apps and drivers, made certain it was 100% perfect and then cloned the disc.
        We have needed to re-instate the clone once, so I'm very glad we did it.

        Hope you get it sorted with the minimum of pain
