we get asked alot in the plastics trade. We never accept it for the simple reason, the driver is always getting offered cash to turn his back and those that ask for COD in this game normally cant be trusted to pay hundreds of pounds to the driver

We won't do it for an individual (only businesses). About ten years ago, nearly half our commercial business was COD. Now, maybe once a week we have a COD shipment.

We do have two or three retail customers that will call in advance, get the exact amount of their order and send us payment. Seems a little silly, as you can buy prepaid Visa cards, but what do I know? Maybe they are in the Witness Protection Program.
