using quickbooks on an Apple mac

my sister is going off to australia for a month, and for one day of her holidays, she is going to sit in her camper van and "do the wages for the company (40 staff)" - she owns the company and manages all the finance to do with it and its her choice to do it this way :-(.

In order to do this, she needs to take her laptop with her and also Quickbooks Pro (with payroll addon)
because she's going on hols, she wanted to treat herself to a new apple-mac so she can manipulate the photos etc wilst everything is fresh in her mind, play music etc

When she went to the shop, she was told that the apple-mac supports quickbooks BUT DOES NOT support the payroll addon module (but the shop assistant wasn't 100% sure).

Does anyone in the community use quickbooks(2009) with payroll addon on an apple-mac, can it be done?, does it work? possibly with an emulator? or is there a solution.

she can't seem to get a definitive answer from the shop, and everyone here runs shops with accounts, thought someone might know,
If there's anyone willing to receive a phone call from here to have a quick chat, even better.

Why doesn't she just dial in remotely to the machine that holds this on a normal day to day basis? It wouldn't matter what system she was on then.

the contents of quickbooks is on her laptop, they are not held at the office, so log-me-in won't be an option.

having said that, she has just phoned the support desk of quicken-uk and they have said, "no problem whatsoever madam"
not sure why she didn't think of that route before, but . . .

        thaks for the suggestions
