google browsersize - anyone used it ?

came across an interesting google project from their 'labs' tonight.
    Google BrowserSize

it allows you to type in a url (your shop) and then it overlays the page with a set of coloured panes indicating what percentage of visitors see what parts of your page,
the idea being, if only 10% of your visitors see the "buy now" button without the need to scroll, perhaps you need to move the button higher up the page.

I saw this recently too - quite a good way to preview pages at differring resolutions.

      Hmm.

Assuming you've got your browser maximised, a lot seems to depend on the size of your monitor. If you're using a 1920x1200 monitor and a centred web site (like most....?), Google suggests that very few can see it (which is the opposite of the truth) because Google's shaded areas don't adjust. They acknowledge this:

"Browser Size works best on web pages with a fixed layout aligned to the left. If the content reflows as the width is adjusted or it is centered, then the results can be misleading."

      Nearly there guys
