Just installed it myself, not seen any problems, wipes all your passwords though, so get remembering them!

We have been hit by a few trojans recently (all caught by the AV) so I'm hoping this is the answer.

its mainly an IE6 thing, MS are going against their own policy and releasing this to patch a hole in IE6 which is "End of Life". I think it can attack IE7 too.

Another solution to this is to upgrade to IE8 and accept all MS updates.

I'm on IE8, it updated me, so must be something on all flavours.

From what I read it does affect all versions. It seems MS have known about it since September and planned to release the fix in February. Brought forward because of the Google / China hack publicity.

Since running this, my actinic has picked back up to speed, it had gone very slow moving between tabs. Malwarebytes has reported a few IP blocks too, so something was being tried.
