    Image software

I'm looking for a simple photo editor for a non teccie client. All it needs to do is resize images, allow some "levels" manipulation and export.

Preferably free and not an online editor

Picasa ( picasa.google.com ) is free and may be worth a look.

Irfanview is good. It looks a bit clunky but a lot of people love it. Levels is basic (colour correction, brightness etc) but might be good enough.

Photoshop Elements does all you want, good tools for cutting out backgrounds etc

My 10 year old uses Picasa- easy to use but enough depth to do most things

I push: http://www.pixlr.com/ whenever asked -- online, very like PS.
