major interuptions tonight 2010 sept 8th from midnight

I have just received this email from my ISP

Broadband : BT Planned Engineering Works Notification

BT Planned Maintenance - All Connections

BT have advised us of planned maintenance that will affect ALL customers country-wide on most ISPs. This work is required so that BT can carry out hardware upgrades. This is a major outage that will cause your connection to drop it's PPP for many hours.

BT advise that some customers may have outages up to 4 hours.

Start Time: 12:00am, 9th September 2010
End Time: 7:00am, 9th September 2010

not sure, but it seems a lot of the internet will be affected tonight, just thought I'd let people know.

I thought so too, but found a Google link to 6th September. As it's overnight I'm not going to worry - the indication I got was that we might have to reboot our routers in the morning.

No problems for me, either at home or the office. Usual number of orders received overnight.
