    Concurrent v9 & v10 uploads

I have a v10 site uploading at the moment with a v9 open and ready to upload. The sites are on different servers with different hosts.

Are there any repercussions in sending the v9 at the same time as the v10 (bandwidth apart)? I am not going to risk it as the v10 is 33,058 files and the v9 is 15,103 and don't want to crash either out. Can Actinic handle the concurrent upload threads or will there be any conflicts?

No one's going to dare suggest you press that big red button --- unless ---

..... and ka-boom! There was white-hot metal flying all over the place, and some of the shrapnel hit a nearby orphanage, and some went into the giant panda enclosure at the local zoo causing major setbacks to their delicate breeding programme.

Not my words - from a an older hilarious post:

The kids were on a visit to the baby Panda enclosure at the time so sat and waited until 1.30am to send the other site.

There was a near miss when I backed up both sites at the same time though! Not recommended

Is there an official line from Actinic Towers on this? I am again sat with a v9 site uploading and a v10 straining at the leash.

          Morning Jont

I have asked for confirmation from the development team for this and will post back their reply.

            Hello again Jont

Just confirmed this to be sure. Uploading different sites to different servers at different host locations, technically is no problem, as long as the network bandwidth and PC memory can handle the concurrent operations.

            Hope this helps.

I've done this a few times Jonty and never had a problem either, i've had 3 versions 8,9 & 10 uploading concurrently once also.

Cheers peeps - glad to get the official thumbs up. I don't think I will try it with the current v10 job as it is a monster but for smaller sites it is good to know.
