    A plea to Facebook Users...

    Hi there,

I just need a helping hand from any Facebook users out there. I've done my links from Actinic to Facebook but I'm having problems with Facebook not seeing uploaded images/ posts etc.

Apparently once you get 30+ "likes", you get more Admin rights (eg: claim domain/ see insights etc.) which I am hoping will iron out some of the issues I have having (or will at least confirm my fears that FB is full of bugs!)

If you are a Facebook user, please could you click on the following link & click on "Like":

    Many thanks for your help!

Anyone please? There must be some facebook users out there??

This is not a marketing attempt to get more fans - I am seriously trying to iron out some issues I'm having with linking to & using facebook. I only need 8 more "likes" to get the extra FB admin functionality.

All you have to do is click the "like" button at the top of my FB page. That's it. You can "Unlike" the page at any time.

I appeal to all those out there who have spent hours trying to get software to work. You know who you are..

    Thanks
    Jackie

      Just done it for you!

What coding did you use? As I would like to do this on my site!

Thanks Neil (and also to Duncan, Jerri & Cara who helped me with this).

There is a handy facebook coding generator which will do it for you as well as customise things like fonts, buttons etc.

I see you've already got your facebook business page short URL. Just use that URL in the "URL to like" field. http://developers.facebook.com/docs/...e/plugins/like

Once you have the code, cut & paste into the relevant place(s) in your Actinic site. You can also use a straight URL link from a fragment.

Once you get to 30 "likes" you get access to Insights, which I'm still playing with.

        Hope that helps?

          Neil,

Just had a closer look at your facebook page & it looks like your GParts page is set up as a personal account (where you have "friends" etc.)

You should set up a personal account & then have your business page coming off it - that way you are an Administrator of the business page. You control the content & people can "like it". The process I've described on my previous post probably won't work on a personal account.

I'm completely clueless about facebook... so what links have you done from actinic to facebook? I've looked at your facebook site, but I'm not really sure how it's linked to actinic in anyway?

I think Jackie has placed a link to the Facebook page at the top of the Actinic site and also placed some links back to the site from Facebook.

oh, ok. I guess I misread that. Sounded like I was missing out on some cool way to sync the two up...
