1and1 new Control Panel and FTP Accounts

I logged into the 1and1 admin area today on my Bus Pro package to add a new FTP account and saw that the Control Panel has been updated.

It seems that now the FTP account access page only shows the first 10 FTP accounts with no way to view the rest. (I have around 30+ accounts built).

I called 1and1 who responded very promptly and efficiently - they see the same issue as me on my account. Sadly though all they could tell me was that the migration process to the new Control Panel which was started yesterday is still not complete and until it is then I will not be able to have full functionality.

Great, so I have to wait some unknown time to be able to amend the FTP accounts. Personally (being synical) I think that they made an error and the FTP accounts page doesn't have the buttons to go to the subsequent pages.

If anyone else has more than 10 FTP accounts can you please login and see if you can view them all?

On my new panel, I have a link to the next page of 10.
On the other hand, my webspace explorer is empty bar the root (no folders showing).
In addition, we are having access problems (not sure if this is related).
I am able to view our site from my home PC, but not from the work PC (where we can't download orders either).
The work PC can access other sites (ie ones that are not mine).
Not a cache issue, as refersh works on home, but not on work PC.
    ???

My webspace explorer is also blank but I've always used ftp and I don't seem to have any other problems.

The problem you have sounds like a dns issue. Worth checking dns from each PC. A ping or tracert should show if there's any dns differences between the two PCs.

        Thanks Mike

I assume the DNS is controlled by 1&1 servers (as all domains booked via them), or is this not the case?
The fact that I could reach my sites via one PC and not another, and that I could reach other sites, but not my own, on the offending PC, was what was counfounding me. I tried switching off Internet security/firewall, just in case this was somehow blocking my sites, but that didn't do anything.

Anyhow, a router reboot at the shop seems to have resolved the issue for now.

With my 'novice' hat on - please could you explain how I ping from each PC

edit: sorry - that was lazy - I have searched and found what to do!
