There's a few of us doing a Christmas pressups challenge over the next 100 days, it started yesterday and continues each day through to Christmas eve.
On the first day you have to do 3 sets of 1 pressup
On the second day you have to do 3 sets of 2 pressups
On the third day you have to do 3 sets of 3 pressups
and so on for 100 days, which means (if you'd started yesterday) that you'd complete the challenge on Christmas eve, which will be 3 sets of 100 pressups.
The sets can be done at any stage throughout the day to suit yourself, obviously at the start you can tend to do them all together. Only rules are that you must complete a set in its entirety, there must be 3 sets per day and you can do them at any time to suit yourself within the day.
The only other rules are that within the first 2 days you must come up with a good shoulder excuse in case you fail miserably and you need a nickname.
Nicknames such as 'bingowings', 'gums', 'floorlicker', 'splat', 'bendy', 'the carpet' are already taken. If you'd like to join us on twitter, hashtag is #xmaspressups, where you record each day when you have completed your sets.
Bit of collective fun and exercise to see how far we can go, fancy joining us?
Anyone joining today, needs to do 3 sets of 1 and 3 sets of 2, so we are all on the same. If your arms are quite weak (all the more reason to join us), doing pressups with your knees on the floor will still be very good exercise, preferably you want to be on your toes with a straight back though.
