Part of the file upload show "Adding files referenced by variables" ... what exactly are these files and how do they relate to the number of products in the database?
My understanding of this is that it relates to adding the file content referenced by variables of type file content. It can have a performance hit at upload (and at snapshot creation) if you have variables of this type at product level.
