After muddling my way though for the last 10 years i think it is time that i employ the services of a person to help develop our web site, i just don’t have the time to devote to making changes, trying to educate myself in how to implement the changes and trying to keep up with the latest guff
What i need to do is run the business.
Now i have approached some company’s before with a view to bringing them on board to help develop the site and carry out monthly / weekly maintenance etc with little success.
I am now thinking of employing the service of “in house” web site person, sorry to be vague with the description but i need someone who can develop our site, handle the social media side and also work the SEO etc.
I am is a strange and uncomfortable position as when hiring our other staff we had the knowledge/ experience to train them, and we of course could do the job we were asking them to do. With this position it would be a whole new ball game to me and i am not one who likes to hand over control or can convey my ideas very well.
I have thought about hiring some young person who we can send on courses to bring them up-to-date with seller deck, Google etc but if you get the wrong person you could be wasting your money or worse they could just choose to leave.
So my questions are:

So my questions are:
- Has anyone had any experience with hiring an in house web guru?
- If so where did you find such a person?
