Japanease Visitor

Hi Guys,

Would be gratefull if anyone knew something about the below:

We have liveziller software so we can monitor visitors to our website, for the past few weeks we have had a visitor from Japan on our site, they have been on the same page for up to 10 hours at a time without ever buying anything ect...

We then banned them from our site for 2 days, after that they came straight back on and sat on the same page again for hours, we have noticed that we have been unusally quite traffic wise to our site and also online sales. We then banned the Japanease visitor for a week and everything picked up again and was back to normal. The week expired yesterday and again the Japanease visitor was back on our site last night and again no orders!

It may just be a coincident with the lack of activity and them being on our site, what we really want to know is what are they and what are they doing? is it some kind of virus ect...

Any help or views would be appreciated.

Put a total block on their IP address, why are you banning them for a few days, are you that despirate for one remotely possible order

Thanks for you reply, we are not desperate for one order we just want to know whether they could be doing harm to our website. Its obviously not a person so we didnt know whether it was a search engine crawling our site or something along those lines.

We will ban them indefinatly but we would rather work out what they are before doing this.

Might be ripping the design, if i wanted to rip a design i'd stay on a site for a long time to read the code etc.
