    Google Merchant Confusion

I've had products listed on product search for a while, all was OK until this new paid for service launched in the US started. To say i'm confused is an understatement. The rules say that you now have to pay via adwords for products search if in the US, but not yet in the UK. My feed is UK based.

As the attached picture shows, for ads all products are approved, for search none are. Result is i am getting no clicks, used to get quite a few per day.

Anyone understand this or had similar, i'm lost.

    Thanks.

When did you submit the feed? Our Ads were approved probably 5 days before Product Search was.

They really need to work on the user-friendlyness of Merchant Center. AdWords is easy to use, but Merchant Center is a nightmare. It's worth the pain though, we spend a lot less on these new ads but see much better results than "regular" AdWords and we spend less time administering it as well.

      Lee,

We had this problem with the Titan website. Took Google 28 days to approve, and then I had to resubmit again as it was due to expire.

It seems to be in a time warp at the moment, reporting no errors at all but been waiting for review for weeks. They ignore questions, they report no errors, yet they do nothing. I have an adwords campaign waiting to pay them, typical Google annoyances i'm afraid, too big and powerful for themselves.

I've noticed that if there was an error in the feed that the product searches can drop out. Then when a correct feed is submitted they need to be reapproved which can take a few days. They seem to be controlled by the image - no image available then not listed. Could be a problem collecting images?

Also you can specify the country which may or may not have an effect.
