    Sellerdeck to Actinic

    I just received a marketing email from 'New' Actinic encouraging me to migrate away from Sellerdeck...

    Many SellerDeck customers have already started to reap the benefits Actinic offers....
    To make a fresh start this New Year we have introduced a new Migration Pack for SellerDeck customers to move from the desktop software to Actinic.
    I wonder if it was a good idea to also sell the contact details of customers as well as the brand?
    There is some brand confusion out here now. People who have known and liked Actinic for many years will not get whats happened. I wonder how many will stick with 'new' actinic brand and migrate away from 'old' actinic.

    Hi Mark,

    I can why these e-mails may annoy, however it would seem some existing "SellerDeck" customers see the benefits of an online solution, so Actinic Online are helping those customers in migrating their site from SellerDeck to Actinic Online by this migration pack. The vast majority of SellerDeck customers are happy with their SellerDeck solution and the new SellerDeck 2013 release, so I would encourage these guys to simply unsubscribe from the Actinic Online mailings. This will not effect the mailings you get from SellerDeck.

    We did not sell your details to Actinic Online and never will.

        Hi Mark,

        As part of the original partnership that saw Oxatis buy the Actinic brand it was agreed that we would e-mail our customers on Oxatis ( Actinic Onlines ) behalf a specific amount of times to communicate the fact that there was now an online offering from Actinic.

        Thats why if you unsubscribe we will take you off the list that Actinic Online communicate to, but hopefully you still want communication from SellerDeck, we have control thats why we can make that happen.

          Odd that you should email your customers promoting what is now your competitors product... people will be confused... it looks like sellerdeck are encouraging people to leave sellerdeck and migrate to actinic online.

            Hi Mark,

            The two product offerings are vastly different in the way that SellerDeck you have the peace of mind that you own the software, whereas with Actinic Online you pay a monthly subscription. Some of our customers contacted us advising they would really benefit from accessing their software from anywhere with an internet connection, this is where Actinic Online comes into it's own. If SellerDeck customers felt they would really benefit from having that level of access control we would encourage them to go to Actinic online rather than anywhere else. As I said before the vast majority of our customers are happy and succesful using SellerDeck and would not move to another solution whether that be Actinic Online or someone else and I would recommend they just unsubscribe from the e-mails.

            I can see how people might get confused but we have to honour the agreement that was struck.
