I have narrowed it down to these two Toshiba Satellites, only £20 in it....your votes please:

A.) AMD A6 quad core processor.
    2GHz processor speed.
    6GB RAM.
    750GB SATA hard drive.
    Microsoft Windows 8

B.) Intel Pentium 2020M dual core processor.
    2.4GHz processor speed.
    8GB RAM.
    1000GB hard drive.
    Microsoft Windows 8

Only using for email and various Sellerdeck sites covering all versions plus photoshop. Always have everything open at once along with a browser.

Thanks Norman, Sellerdeck support confirmed the v11.0.5 and upwards compatible with Windows 8.1 yesterday afternoon
    C) Get something decent. A laptop lasts for years, so buy one that will stand the test of time, both look a false economy to me. Jonty may still have a Commodore 64 hanging around if not.

Last time i was in PC world, the business team let me choose windows 7 on my new machine, and wiped 8 at my request at no extra cost. I bought a Lenovo machine.

On the bill, it was labelled an 'upgrade'.

The angry D domain was given to my friend John, who now blogs on it.

The excess stock is all over my house (and his). Anybody want a megadrive?

Instant flashback to hearing "Say-Gar" on the boot up

                  A Texas TI199A

Somewhere I may still have in my house a Texas TI99A, which was all the rage before the BBC B came out. Some of you will not be old enough to remember.

I had a family friend who was the programmer in the UK in the mid-60's. He was the only programmer for the only computer, housed in an enormous ICT building in Stevenage. There was no GUI interface, just punch tape, and it just did mathematical calculations. I wonder what happened to it? In a museum somewhere? If so, a large one.

You could also try https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ who will build to your specification and provide Win7 Pro, I would have suggested Dell via the small business link on their site as you get Win7 there as well, but they messed me around so much I cancelled the order and went to these guys.
