Minimum length of search term?

Chris,

Can you change the minimum length of the search term for this forum to '1' please.

It's rather annoying when searching for something like 'crystal reports 9' to be told that '9' doesn't meet the minimum search term length of 3 and won't be used.

I tried this recently because I was sure I saw something about Crystal reports 9 being needed for Actinic version 7 (or was it 8?, I don't know because I can't find the post )

Strangely enough it doesn't seem to work.

If I search for for "crystal reports 9" it says there are no results that match (even with partial matching).

If I search for "crystal reports *9" it gives two results, none of which are this:

I'm pretty sure this forum runs on some kind of black magic that I have not been able to decypher yet.

I'm afraid I don't know what else to try.

Looking at the vbulletin forum it appears that a search bug with wildcard matching was fixed in release 2.3.3

they don't explain the details but it looks to me as if it might be the source of the problem. See here for details:

I don't know how you feel about upgrading. The latest V2 is 2.3.4 which has bug and security fixes.
