I've been going through my site stats and notice that i have received traffic from this site http://www.thebestofnet.com/

the site appears to be a traffic exchange site it swaps pop unders.

I haven't signed up with these guys....so how am I getting traffic from them?

I can't say in this case, but there are sites out there that visit other sites at random (just a robot, no real visitors) as a way of promoting their services.

The ones that do this are always targeting webmasters (so they're in the right category) and count on the webmaster looking at their logs and thinking, where's this trafic coming from ? I'd better take a look.

You have to admit, it's a cheap way of advertising.
