Automatic Address inclusion into Actinic 7
I am very much looking forward to the new version 7, which integrates E commerce with Mail Order. This will help our company greatly by standardising all our paperwork.
However, I ask if some specialist software we use already to verify and add addresses to our ordering system will work with Actinic?
We use a very well known Mail Order Software called ‘Postcode Plus’ from AFD Software Ltd ( www.afd.co.uk). This helps the ordering process in several ways, but the two main ones being.
1: you type in the postcode into any database or document and it automatically fills in the complete address (once it’s asked you what house number). This is a fantastic labour saving devise that greatly speeds up the ordering process. You may have already noticed this used when placing orders, and you tend to be asked for your postcode and house number.
2. It checks that the postcode given is correct.
I think what I need to know, is what sort of database you use to drive Actinic, and then I should be able to find out from AFD if their sotware will work with it.
