Hi

I am new to e-commerce and would love to have some help on the following :-

is there a quick way of uploading products into actinic, i have about 3000 products with images descriptions etc.. to upload this seems to be quite a daunting task, hampered by the fact that my designer has not finished the templates etc...so i wondered if anything could be done in excell for example so i can quickly upload when the designer has finished ?

secondly can anyone recommend a good web hosting company that will be experienced with actinic and will support a catalogue with aprox 6000 items and does give good customer support.

If you are not using component or attributes, then you shoudl be able to easily achieve it using a flat file CSV file, i.e. create it in Excel and convert to csv for importing into the Actinic software.

Take a look in your PCs Actinic ?? / Original / Common folder for examples of the flat import and the more complex Hierarchical method which is used to import components and all that other guichy stuff

Access

Alternatively you can import the data into an Access database which could then be dynamically linked to Actinic - any changes to the database (prices, stock, descriptions, etc.) would then be automatically updated in Actinic.
