    Disappearing Permutations

    Re-organizing choices can delete permutation data in some circumstances. Steps to recreate...

    1) Create a new product (PRODX)
    2) Give it a component, attribute and 3 choices (small, medium, Large)
    3) Create 3 hidden products (PRODX-SMALL, PRODX-MEDIUM, PRODX-LARGE)
    4) Build the permutation list for PRODX and for each one, map the Product Column to the 3 corresponding hidden products from step 3. Set the pricing model to for each to Associated.

    The above constitutes a very common structure for controlling stock, and recording product codes in orders where choices are used. Now the bug…

    5) Drag the “Large” choice over the top of “Medium” so as to re-order the list to Small, Large, Medium
    6) Check the permutations list again and Large is missing.
