Me too - it tends to be the way it is done just about everywhere else
I still get customer putting Mr in the salutation and Mr fred bloggs in the same
so you get Mr Mr, i did away with the salutation for now

Add my vote too (for what it's worth!).
It's pants having "Dear Mr. John Smith" at the top of an email. It should be "Dear Mr Smith" or "Hi John"
