Components in Products for Digital Download files ....

Hi,

On V7 and noticed that you cannot add components to Products that are DD.
i.e. if I have a file and want the option to send it in WORD, JPG or PDF, I cannot simply check a box, like shoe sizes for example, as you can only allocate one file per product.

In this example, my site requires me to create a new product per file type variant.

What we need is ....
Product A "Document on H&S"
>>>>>>Component 1 : /H&S.doc
>>>>>>Component 2 : /H&S.txt
>>>>>>Component 3 : /H&S.jpg
>>>>>>Component 4 : /H&S.pdf

Order Product A indicating which file type you want and Actinic is set up to mail the correct file over.

What we got is ....
Product A "Document on H&S" >>>>>> /H&S.doc
Product B "Document on H&S" >>>>>> /H&S.txt
Product C "Document on H&S" >>>>>> /H&S.jpg
Product D "Document on H&S" >>>>>> /H&S.pdf

YOU MAY WISH TO HAVE COMPONENT BASED COSTING TOO ?

Hi Simon

Using the 'Associated Product' feature for components, it is possible to associate an individual choice (or an individual permutation) with a product in your store. This can be a hidden product (i.e. not orderable separately) and can have a digital download file assigned to it. When someone orders the component, they will receive a link to the digital download file in the receipt.
