Date Selection

Maybe this has been sais before, but can we have a feature that does not allow the customer to select todays date when ordering.

Can I just add to this? We offer same day delivery for orders placed before 1pm, but the default date is set at the current date, so if the customer doen't enter a delivery date it automatically enters todays date on the order. Could we have a warning message to draw the customer's attention to this and asking them to confirm they really want delivery today?

How are you generating the date selection? If it is using the 'Date Prompt' then you could try using a shopping mode of 'Quantity on Product Page' for your store pages. This will put the date prompt on the store page - before people click 'Add to Cart' and the default date in this case is 1st January 2000. It might be enough to spur your customers into making the necessary changes. Just a thought.

We used to have our site set up this way. We just got a lot of orders for 1st January!! What would help would be a null default value for the date, so if the customer fails to enter a date, they will get an error message telling them they need to enter one.
