    Request for account application Form

A separate form other than the ubiquitous "Contact Us" that will have ALL the correct, compulsary fields for gathering the required information for on line account applications so that the Actinic Account Groups can be configured.

Note 'application' not auto filling of the accounts data in Actinic. This is so that the email with the required data can be vetted and added manually.

(I am about to try and modify the contact us form to suit but will then need to create a seperate Contact Us as a mailto...)

The best online form to use is checkout.

Seriously. All the data you need is entered by the customer, and all you have to do is click a button on the order to Create Account from Order.

You can choose NOT to click the button if the customer does not vet.

The help files contain information on setting up a dummy item the customer can 'order' to ask for an account.

Again, thanks Bill for the reply..

I appreciate that you can click on a button to create an account, however for our needs, that is not viable. We need to set up their account BEFORE they place an order.

We have a customer based 'club' whereby club members get a discount. Our existing membership is over 750, all joining prior to the site going live. As a result we do not have ALL the required data.

What Bill is suggesting should work. Before becoming an account customer you allow them to buy a zero priced product with the description "Click the button below to register for an account with us".

Full details in the Advanced Guide - Allowing Customers to Register for Accounts Online.
