This may sound strange, but I'd like to be able to choose marketing items on my duplicates. At the minute this tab is all greyed out and picks up its content from the parent product. Here's the reason why...
I'll use brake pads as an example.
You sell car parts and a set of brake pads may fit Alfa and Ferrari. You have a top level section for each marque with the various models in each.
One set of pads happens to fit an Alfa Spider and a Ferrari Dino. So you have a parent product (hidden with your other brake pads) and two duplicates, one in the Alfa section and one in the Dino section. You want to have brake calipers as related products. However, the Alfa brake caliper is different to the Dino brake caliper, what do you have to do? Add both on the parent product! So in your Alfa section, you go to your Spider pads and in the related products list is the Ferrari brake calipers, which don't fit the Alfa - not very professional!
So, please, please, please, can we have full control of the fields in duplicates?!
Since you're such a conscientious specialist, you also sell manuals so people can learn how to fit their brake pads. The Alfa and Ferrari manuals are obviously going to be totally different, but you still want to upsell them using the related product or also bought feature on the marketing tab. But currently, you can't have only the Alfa manual appearing in the Alfa section and likewise in the Ferrari seciton.
