Automatic Backup Scheduler

Random idea.

Have a daily scheduler to request an automatic backup snapshot of the website, like how the Outlook calander kind of works.

This could be timed to schedule backups as user set intervals (10, 30, 60 mins etc) as you can with say CorelDraw ...although this would need some form of Open File backup which can prove very expensive.

make your own.

use vbscript to script a copy procedure for your site1 folder, to whatever location you choose, then add this script to windows sheduled task, localed in your start menu, accessories, system tools.

i'v done it before, so its very possible.

It's called Easy Order Backup - it's backs up the database rather than the snapshot.

To back up the snapshot, you could use the command line option to make a snapshot along with on the of the standard schedulers.

An backup sheduler who be a good idea IMO and if it also uploaded the snapshot to the server as an option then that would be good too.

i wrote one in vbscript in that time.
