Random Marketing List

I thought I had already asked for this, but on checking it wasnt here... so must have dreamt that (!)

I want a random marketing list (options to lock in/out items would be useful) that isnt based on sales, or likes or anything else.

For example, I want to have 6 random items on my home page but none of the lists that we already have are any good. I could use them if I want to manually select items, but I dont. I want it to randomly pick 6 different items each day.

To horse it up one step further would be to be able to limit it to certain criteria, eg one from each section, or one from each price range, to show a random but balanced selection of products.

Easy refreshing of tired webpages pages has to be one of the major positives of v8.
